About
It Girl was a fashion-themed social simulation game developed by CrowdStar, a company based in Burlingame, California. Released on Facebook in 2010, the game allowed players to create stylish avatars, shop for clothes, attend parties, date, and climb the social ladder. All in a glamorous virtual world. Players could spend in-game currency to unlock new outfits, go to like Las Vegas and the Cruise, and compete to become the most fashionable and popular "It Girl" among friends. The game had a unique blend of dress-up mechanics, light RPG elements, and social competition, offering a fun and stylish escape for fans of fashion. Whether it was saving up for the perfect outfit or checking the leaderboard, It Girl had a vibe that stuck with its fans. In 2012, CrowdStar shifted its focus to mobile platforms, ending development on Facebook titles while continuing to maintain existing games. It Girl remained playable for a while longer, but was officially shut down on November 30, 2013. While It Girl is no longer around, it lives on in the memories of those who dressed to impress, remembering the thrill of finding the perfect outfit, rising through the ranks, and living their dream lives one pixel at a time. An experience many still wish they could return to, if only for a moment.
