Story & names

A century ago, the land of Myrridon stood fractured by old rivalries and a fragile peace. In the far eastern reaches, the great wall, long believed unbreakable, was torn asunder. From the breach poured horrors beyond reckoning, and with them came the Varnathi, a race never before known to this world. They marched across Myrridon in fire and shadow, driving kingdoms westward, shattering armies and leaving ruin in their wake. At last, all roads led to Steepmarch, the mountain city at the edge of the world. There, in the face of annihilation, the warring factions of Myrridon stood as one. Thus began the Unification War. Through sacrifice and sorcery, the breach was sealed by a great wizard, and the Varnathi were cast from this realm. For 100 years, neither they nor the creatures that followed them have been seen. Yet the scars of that war still mark the land, and not all walls are meant to stand forever.
